The Croatian Designers Association (Hrvatsko dizajnersko društvo, HDD) has announced the second season of its project, “Nove modne prakse” (New Fashion Practices), started to support young fashion designers in their exploratory work within the fashion design field. Following a successful first phase in 2024, the project continues to provide both financial and mentorship support to emerging talents.
The mentorship program, led by project manager Lea Vene, will run from June to December 2025. The deadline for applications is May 15, 2025. The public presentation of the final research is set in the first half of 2026.
Applicants are encouraged to submit projects that have not yet been fully realized, as the program is here to provide the necessary research conditions, mentorship, and development plans for potential realization or production.
In the pilot phase, the project supported two amazing initiatives:
- Biodegra by Vicko Racetin: focused on developing biodegradable materials for fashion.
- Nascar efekt by Laura Barić: critically examined branding in contemporary sports culture and the relationship between logos and the human body.
