This Saturday, November 30th, Antal and Danilo Plessow (MCDE) return to Zagreb’s Peti Kupe with a slightly different vibe featuring the Sound Circuit concept. The DJ booth will be positioned in the middle of the club, at floor level, creating a closer connection with the clubbers.
The goal of these two guest DJs is to play outstanding music from anywhere in the world, regardless of genre. As Antal puts it: “The best nights are when I feel like I can play anything, no matter how edgy my selection is.” His musical style defies simple categorization into house or techno. Whether it’s Afro funk, Surinam disco, or some boogie sound, Antal knows how to make people dance by choosing the perfect moment to drop each track.
Danilo Plessow, one of the most intriguing figures in contemporary electronic music, has spent the last two decades releasing music under various aliases and in many styles. However, he is best known for his project Motor City Drum Ensemble. His performances take the audience on a journey through soul, disco, house, jazz, and even 80s Caribbean sounds. Yet, he avoids being labeled as a representative of any single genre. With his jazz-influenced approach to creating deep house, he has crafted some of the most emotional moments in dance music in recent years.
The back-to-back set from these two artists promises to be one of the highlights of the season at Peti Kupe. Joining them will be the club’s resident duo, Ilija Rudman and Antonio Zuza, adding their local flavor to the event.
The Sound Circuit concept will bring a fresh experience to the club, with the DJ booth in the center of the dance floor. This new layout will be complemented by a reconfigured sound system featuring four speaker towers in the corners of the club and a redesigned lighting setup. As Peti Kupe has announced, this concept will also be applied to other events throughout the season, beyond the Discoton series.
Tickets for this Saturday’s event are available on the Entrio.
