Those who love perfect spices are well aware of the word ‘zaatar’. It is the king of Middle Eastern spices that enriches every dish. However, when it comes to music, Zaatar is a DJ who brings a unique spice to the electronic scene. She is the guest of a new collaboration between Planet Wednesday [Planet Srijeda] and Sequences, on Friday, April 3rd at Peti Kupe.
Born in Morocco, with a residence in France, Zaatar has crafted her own sonic identity by combining elements that may not seem to belong together at first glance. Her music combines EBM, New Beat, and trance, but between these rhythms, there is always a subtle echo of her Moroccan heritage. The result is not fusion for the sake of exoticism, but a personal language – a sound that is simultaneously raw and emotional, danceable and introspective.

There is always a sense of travel in Zaatar’s music. Not just between clubs and cities, but between worlds. Her sets and production sound like a night ride through different geographical and emotional landscapes – from North African melodic tracks to the cold, pulsating energy of the European scene. In a relatively short time, Zaatar has become one of the more interesting names of the new generation of body music scene.
With such a reputation, she is coming to Peti Kupe, where she will be joined by the faces of the Planet Wednesday and Sequences programs – Felver and Antonio Zuza. Tickets are available on pre-sale via the link: https://www.entrio.hr/event/planet-sequences-w- zaatar-felver-zuza-31019
