Spotify has officially made its way back into the DJ world, this time directly inside Serato DJ Pro and Serato DJ Lite. The new integration lets Spotify Premium users stream music straight from their account – playlists, liked songs, and the full Spotify catalog – all within Serato.
Released on September 24th, 2025, this marks Spotify’s return to DJ platforms after a five-year break. The feature is available in more than 50 countries, including Croatia, and currently works on desktop.
For DJs, this feels like a long delayed upgrade. Building or testing sets no longer requires downloading files or switching between apps – everything can now be done in one place. Browsing, organizing, and mixing tracks happens directly within Serato, making the whole process faster and more intuitive.
For anyone who wants to see how it works, Serato has shared an official tutorial that walks through the full setup step by step.
There are still a few limits: an internet connection is required, and recording or storing Spotify tracks offline isn’t allowed. But overall, the collaboration is a welcome sign that both platforms are paying attention to how DJs actually use music today.
Spotify has also introduced similar integrations with rekordbox and Algoriddim’s djay, hinting at a wider return to the DJ software space after several quiet years.
After a long wait, Spotify’s library is once again part of the tools DJs use every day – this time officially supported and built right into Serato. More information about the upgrade is available here.
