Three Women Whose Music Knows No Boundaries This Friday at Peti Kupe
In the upcoming edition of the popular Sequences program, Berlin scene members Gabrielle Kwarteng, Ogazón, and Lola Haro will be the guests. These three women are known for their boundary-pushing music. After performing at summer festivals, including on our Adriatic coast, are coming to Peti Kupe on October 25.
Gabrielle Kwarteng, a native New Yorker, impressed the Zagreb audience last Christmas with her ability to balance different genres, from New York house to disco, percussive sounds, and broken beat. Her broad range of influences, from her Ghanaian roots to genres that originated in America, reflects her open-mindedness and deep musical knowledge. Gabrielle has performed in iconic venues such as Panorama Bar, Nowadays, and White Hotel, as well as at major festivals.
Ogazón, a visionary DJ from Luxembourg, is known for her vinyl-only sets. Minimal, techno, and house, with touches of progressive trance, dominate her performances. She prefers groove, playing both new and old records, and is not overly active on social media or frequent in her performances. Her charisma and old-school approach have earned her recognition over the last two years, with performances in institutions like Panorama Bar and Robert Johnson.
Lola Haro’s love for music and her authentic approach have brought a fresh perspective to Belgium’s nightlife scene. She emerged in 2018 with her warm sound and deep flow, gaining international recognition after sets for Boiler Room and HÖR. Recently, she launched her own record label and event series, Small Steps, further establishing her presence in the electronic music scene.
