Zagreb is buzzing with a variety of pop-up festivals this June, each offering unique experiences that capture the essence of summer in the city.
Pop Up by the Lake
The Pop-Up Summer Garden from May 29 until July 7 will offer a mix of art installations, live music, open-air cinema, and a relaxing natural atmosphere. Located by Zagreb’s beautiful Bundek Lake, the pop-up features a variety of activities, including performances by DJs and acoustic bands, creative workshops, and a wide selection of cocktails and snacks.
Rougemarin Park
This summer, Rougemarin Park in Zagreb opens on June 6 and promises a vibrant mix of activities, food, and tunes, creating a lively atmosphere. Reopened for its third season, the park offers a range of events (Paint & Bubbles on Mondays, Afterwork on Wednesdays, Family Weekend Zone) and experiences for its visitors in a refreshing green environment. During major football events, the park will offer live screenings of the matches for sports fans.
Beats&Bites
From June 6 to 15 at Mažuranić Square, Beats&Bites offers diverse street food, entertainment, and activities like fashion flea markets, quizzes, and art exhibitions.
BaÅ¡ NaÅ¡ Food&BallÂ
One of the highlights is the BaÅ¡ NaÅ¡ Food&Ball edition, from June 14 to July 14 at Bundek Lake, which will blend gourmet food, live music, and the excitement of this summer’s European Football Championship. Wine City
Another interesting pop-up festival is the Wine City (Vinski Grad), happening from June 14 until June 19 in Dr. Franjo Tuđman Park. This open-air wine festival offers a variety of wines at promotional prices, paired with a delicious gastronomic selection. It is a great place for wine enthusiasts to gather and enjoy the warm nights.
Zagreb Food Truck Festival
This year, for ten days starting from June 20, six food & bar trucks from the region are participating in the Zagreb Food Truck Festival at KreÅ¡imić Ćosić Square in front of Dom Sportova. The culinary selection will be complemented by music events, DJ sets, fairs, shows, and kid-friendly seminars to round out the enjoyable portion of the schedule. This is a terrific way to end June and spend the summer days in the city.Â
Zmajevo
Zmajevo will celebrate craft beer with street food and music at Zmajska Pivovara for two days starting on June 28. This festival launched in 2018, brings together craft beer lovers, featuring local and international breweries, food pairings, and music.Â
Summer at Matoš
For those who love a vibrant street festival atmosphere, Summer at Matoš runs from June 28 to July 27 at Braće Mažuranić Square. This festival includes DJ sets, live bands, and a variety of food and drink options on eight different stands, all set under the lanterns and trees of the Lower Town.
