This Saturday, December 7, two established underground collectives join forces at Masters Zagreb. Bosk, the founder and resident DJ of Staple Collective, invited the head of Split’s Underground Control, Miro, to share the decks.
Karlo Bošnjak, known as Bosk, has been active on the scene for over five years. Known for his specific musical selections of minimal, minimal tech and electronica, he established himself on the local scene and brought his style to the crows with his collective, Staple. He shared the decks with many established artists as a guest and organizer, such as Toman, Fabe, Olga Korol, Per Hammar, Madezh, CVTKVC, and many others.
Miro started his musical career in 2002, in the period when gramophones, vinyls, and beatmatching were the key tools of any DJ, Miro’s vinyl mixing skills became his recognizable signature. Even though over time he accepted the progress of technology and perfected the work with modern equipment, gramophones are still his first love. His wide musical spectrum and ability to feel the pulse of the audience allowed him to quickly rise on the Split DJ scene.
As the founder of the Split’s collective Underground Control, since 2005 Miro has set the foundations of one of the most important organizers of Split’s underground electronic music scene. Over the years, the collective has organized numerous successful projects, and one of the most famous is the “Barbarinac Island of Love“, which has been attracting big names in electronic music since 2014. Also, Miro initiated the “EgoFree festival“, a unique event that brought something new to Split the experience of combining music, art, food, and play in one forgotten green oasis — Turkish Tower, in the very center of the city. Miro was a key figure in several underground night clubs in Split, including Stella Mares, Murall, Jungla, and the owner of Judino Drvo [Juda’s Tree] and Otium Club.
This union is the perfect match for everyone seeking more underground experience, filled with ‘dirtier’ sounds of minimal, tech, and electronica. Tickets for this event are available at the entrance.
