Tiësto just designed NAC Breda’s new away jersey – and for him, it’s personal. The all-black kit, made with Nike and designed alongside Myrthe Koppelaar and Hugo de Graaf, connects directly to where he grew up.
He grew up watching NAC Breda play, dreaming he’d be on the pitch one day. That never happened, but the connection clearly stuck. Now, after years of global success, he’s putting that connection into something tangible – through design and collaboration. Part of the profits from the kit will go to Jeugdfonds Sport & Cultuur Berda, a local fund that helps kids join sports and cultural programs. It is meaningful way to give something back.
And it is not just Tiësto getting this kind of hometown spotlight. In Leipzig, Paul Kalkbrenner recently had a football field named after him – a simple gesture, but one that says a lot. It shows a lasting part of their hometowns.
