The Student Club of Electrical Engineering – KSET has opened applications for a workshop called Veni Vidi VJ, designed to teach video jockey (VJ) skills. The workshop starts on Monday, March 17.
A Video Jockey (VJ) is responsible for visual effects in clubs and festivals, as well as for playing music videos on television. Similar to how a DJ mixes music, a VJ mixes visual elements. At KSET, participants will learn techniques for preparing and manipulating visuals in real-time, synchronized with live-mixed music using Resolume Arena.
The workshop consists of four sessions, held at KSET, with the final session featuring a live performance alongside DJ sets from participants of KSET’s Disco Juvente DJ workshop.
Workshop schedule (starting at 6 PM):
- First session – VJ equipment and tools, March 17
- Second session – Transitions and blending, March 19
- Third session – Effects and synchronization, March 24
- Fourth session – How to create a great set and prepare for a performance, April 9
- Final presentation – April 11 at Melin
Participation is free, and you can sign up using the provided application form.
