This weekend marks Carnival time across Croatia, with the Rijeka Carnival being one of the country’s most anticipated annual celebrations – bringing a full day of music, costumes, and energy this Sunday. Check out some of the events you can dance at this weekend, February 28th – March 2nd:
Greenlight w/ Milés Borghese
28 February 2025 📍Masters, Zagreb
After a successful debut, Greenlight is back at Masters, this time featuring Austrian DJ and producer Milés Borghesealongside its resident artists: Ian Staraj, Grenco, Andreas, and Ivan Erjavac. Based in Austria, Milés Borghese is active in the local club scene, involved in projects like 120minfun and Interlude, and curates events at Forum Stadtpark. His sets and productions span a wide range of sounds, from experimental and mellow tones to house, breakbeat, and darker grooves.
One Drop Music presents Son of Son
28 February 2025 📍Peti Kupe, Zagreb
His nickname is The Great Blondino, but SON of SON is an artist who is set to go high this year. Last year was exceptionally successful for him, with releases on Afterlife and Siamese, as well as collaborations with names like Adriatique and Argy. This popular Swede is being brought to the region for the first time by One Drop Music this Friday at Peti Kupe. The Swedish techno star will be supported by the increasingly prominent Serbian duo Synthëtix. Completing the lineup is Antika, the good soul of the local scene – a talented DJ who has been increasingly seen in Zagreb clubs lately, both on the dance floor and behind the decks.
David Penn: A New Era Of XO

Zagreb’s XO Club, known for its different musical orientation to date, has decided to take a bold step forward and introduce a new electronic music program to the capital. On Friday, February 28, the club will host David Penn, a popular house music producer and DJ. This event marks the beginning of a series of exclusive house music nights. Joining him are Kosta Radman, and Yakka.
Future Scope w/ David Clarke & Cristian Varela b2b Marco Bailey
28 February 2025 📍Boogaloo, Zagreb
Headlining Boogaloo this Friday is Dave Clarke, the “Baron of Techno,” known for his raw, high-energy sets and classic “Red” EP series. Joining him is an exclusive b2b set from Cristian Varela & Marco Bailey, both respected for their decades-long influence on the techno scene. Representing Croatia, Shipe & DJ Jock will also perform a b2b set, bringing their already famous sound to the dancefloor.
Model Ball Afterparty w/ Mishko, Doxia, Ketia
01 March 2025 📍Peti Kupe, Zagreb
This Saturday, March 1st, one of the key figures in Berlin’s clubbing scene, ketia, will be performing at Peti Kupe. As a resident of CLUB RAUM and Joyride, and a respected name across Europe’s queer party scene, ketia are set to bring their signature sound to the Model Ball Afterparty, alongside Swiss DJ Mishko and the first lady of vogue afterparties, Doxia. The afterparty is an inclusive space for everyone seeking a place to dance, feel, and express themselves. It is a safe haven for BIPOC & LGBTIQA+ communities, where discrimination and hate have no place. The night will be a celebration of diversity, individuality, music, and expression.

The night kicks off with a b2b set from two rising names in the Split DJ scene, Plejka and Toto. Following them, BeleZebub takes over, and right after Poncije Pilates with old-school techno beats. Closing the night, as she does it best, is Pusmus – completely devoted to the fiercest good energy. The crew is encouraging everyone to put on their costumes, as the best one will get a prize.

For the fourth consecutive year, MASQUERADE returns as a key part of the official Rijeka Carnival program, bringing a free open-air electronic music event to Titov trg in Rijeka. The event will feature an eight-artist lineup performing on the impressive “water tank” stage, ensuring a day-to-night electronic experience – starting from 2PM. This year, Atlantida, a collective known for its immersive events blending diverse sounds, visuals, and community, makes its MASQUERADE debut with DJs Einfakkin, Viktor, and Turk. Joining them are: Full Ferry – well-established name in Croatia’s electronic music scene; Bremanja – Belgrade-based producer & sound designer; Bruns Lay & Recep – MASQUERADE resident DJs.
Carnival Party w/ Ilija Djoković
02 March 2025 📍Crkva Club, Rijeka
A special highlight, other than the Carnival in Rijeka this Sunday, is the return of Ilija Djoković – making his first appearance in Rijeka after eight years. Joining him is DJ Ogi, a key figure in the Rijeka scene, alongside Dino Jukić, Glocke, Mootika, Fuego, and DJ Robby, all bringing their unique styles to the Carnival Party.
Linija Carnival
02 March 2025 📍Nemo Club, Rijeka
The traditional closing of the Rijeka Carnival is once again dedicated to Linija and Nemo Club. From 7 PM until late night, Nemo is hosting Andrija Mlacović, Demo, Grenco, Ian Staraj, and Pvranix to wrap up this year’s famous celebration.
