Adding to the already rich Zagreb Advent program, this year’s EU Advent (on European Square) is marked by various local and international performances. This year’s selection is full of sensations and surprises, all under the editorial baton of Marijan Felver, a popular DJ, a key player in the domestic party scene, and a great music connoisseur. For 40 days of music, nostalgia, and dancing under the lights on the European Square, he has prepared a strong concert program and performances by the most famous domestic DJs.

Various concerts
After the opening of Advent with the always lively band Ljetno Kino, a series of great concerts by local, regional and international attractions will follow. On Saturday, December 6, the Mostar sensation Zoster will present its musical diagnosis of a society whose immunity has fallen. The band, which has conquered the region with a perfect mix of genres – from reggae, ska, and rock to blues and pop – dissects the environment with precision, but also with a great deal of joy and wit. Confirmation of their quality is the Ambasador award they just won for the best regional band.

Darkness, on the other hand, will be presented romantically on December 12 by Curses, a distinctive New York musician with a Berlin address, who has already become a favorite of the local audience. Combining guitars and electronics, they create powerful live performances mixing the nostalgia of new wave and energetic Italo-disco rhythms with a touch of post-punk. Moreover, the EU Advent will host an exclusive Christmas acid punk concert with Berlin musician Mike Sacchetti, featuring new versions of songs from the album Another Heaven. This musical pleasure is made possible by the popular club program Planet Srijeda [eng. Planet Wednesday] and its founder Felver, who will make sure the European Square keeps on dancing for the rest of the evening.

The real treat comes on Christmas Eve, December 24th, when famous Croatian singer and songwriter Alka Vuica takes over the EU Advent stage. She will sing popular songs that she has written for other famous artists. Alka will start her performance at 1 p.m., and Felver will take over the entertainment for the rest of Christmas Eve, a very significant day when the whole city center is filled with locals and tourists.
Countdown to New Year
An attractive and rich program awaits us on New Year’s Eve. Entering 2026 with a world-famous name – The Brand New Heavies, a band that has marked the global acid-jazz and funk scene. It is a rare opportunity to welcome the New Year in Zagreb with a sophisticated band that has played all over the planet, playing the hits such as Dream On Dreamer, Never Stop and You Are the Universe.

The all-day program on New Year’s Eve starts at 11 am, and with the aforementioned star band we will dance to DJ performances curated by Vitamin Disco, Glazbena kuhinja, Bizzo and Phat Phillie.
Advent with Electronic Music

On December 26th, Elena Mikac, one of the most popular younger domestic DJs and the initiator of the club program Diskodelikt at Peti Kupe, will provide a party full of exciting electronic rhythms.
The master of eclectic sounds Zozo, will have his regular schedule on Mondays, while Tuesday is reserved for the young British-Croatian DJ Ben Colgan.
