Ticketmaster has officially announced a strategic partnership with Shazam, a popular music discovery app, to enhance concert discoverability and ticket purchasing. This integration allows users to identify a song on Shazam and immediately see upcoming concerts for the artist, with the option to purchase tickets directly through Ticketmaster.
This partnership is part of Ticketmaster’s broader strategy to connect fans with live events through various digital platforms. In addition to Shazam, Ticketmaster has established integrations with TikTok and Snapchat, enabling users to discover and buy tickets through these popular social media apps. For example, on TikTok, artists can add Ticketmaster links to their videos, while Snapchat users can find events on Snap Map.
To promote this new feature, Ticketmaster launched the “Music Finds You” campaign. The campaign demonstrates in collaboration with artists how easy it is for listeners to find and purchase tickets using these new integrated platforms.
Dan Armstrong, Ticketmaster’s Executive Vice President of Distributed Commerce, highlighted the importance of these integrations in ensuring fans do not miss out on live events and in building a deeper connection between artists and their audiences​
