Festival season is winding down as August arrives, but there’s still plenty of music and parties to catch across Croatia!
Membrain Festival
July 31st – August 3rd 📍Martinska Beach, Šibenik
Membrain Festival marks its 10th anniversary in 2025 – a milestone for one of Europe’s most respected grassroots events dedicated to underground bass culture. Set against the natural backdrop of Martinska, with pine trees and the Adriatic Sea just steps away, the festival stays true to its core: community-driven, independent, and deeply connected to sound system culture.
Since 2016, Membrain has hosted a mix of influential names and new talent across drum & bass, dub, jungle, and experimental bass music. The focus remains on long sets, deep listening, and fostering collaboration across scenes and borders.
Defected Croatia
July 30th – August 4th📍The Garden Resort, Tisno
Known for its top-tier house grooves, world-class acts, and unmatched seaside atmosphere, Defected Croatia is hosted at The Garden Resort and features over 90 artists, legendary boat parties, and a dedicated wellness program. Organized by Defected Records – one of the most influential electronic music brands in the world – the festival has been bringing house music lovers together in Croatia for nearly a decade.

SONIC Festival
August 1st & 2nd 📍Dubrovnik
This year, SONIC moves to the stunning Park Orsula for its fourth edition. The festival kicks off on August 1st with a special sunset event aboard the Galleon Tirena, blending house music and history, featuring El Maar and Looka. On August 2nd, legendary DJ and producer AME takes the stage in the amphitheater, bringing over 20 years of influence in electronic music and delivering unforgettable sets.
August 4th – 10th 📍 Donje Primišlje
Mo:Dem Festival (Momento Demento) is known worldwide for its mind-blowing psychedelic music, stage designs, experimental art installations, and community. It is a week-long journey into the depths of underground psychedelic culture. In recognition of its contribution to the Croatian electronic music scene, Mo:Dem Festival received the Ambasador Award in December 2024. This award, determined by public vote, honoured Mo:Dem as the best festival organized by a Croatian promoter, showing its impact and reputation within the community.
August 8th – 11th 📍 The Garden Resort, Tisno
Balance Music marks their 25th anniversary, which will be celebrated with Balance Croatia – a boutique gathering – at the Garden Resort. They are bringing the biggest line-up of progressive and melodic artists to ever perform at the Garden Resort festival location. More than 50 artists set to perform across three stages: Beach Stage, Olive Grove, and The Yard + boat parties.
Barrakud Croatia
August 10th – 15th 📍 Zrće Beach, Island Pag
Since 2012, Barrakud has brought together electronic music lovers from across the world, blending a full-on festival experience with the rhythm of summer holidays. Entirely Italian in production and spirit, the festival splits across two main stages – #RAVETHEWORLD for the harder techno edge, and #FEELTHEGROOVE for house, groove, and dance sounds.
Perseids Festival
August 14th – 17th 📍 Cres Island
Now in its second year, Perseids is a fully independent, small-scale electronic music gathering set between Tarej and Forest Beach on the island of Cres. With no sponsors, no noise, and only 300 tickets, it offers a rare off-grid experience surrounded by forest, sea, and sky. Minimal setup, no frills – just music, nature, and a leave-no-trace mindset.
August 17th – 21st📍Zrće Beach, Island Pag
Sonus is where thousands come every summer to dance by the sea. Five days of electronic music spread across open-air clubs, boat parties, and beach spots. People from all over the world gather on Pag Island to catch both big names and underground artists in house and techno. From Adam Beyer, Ben Klock, and Richie Hawtin to Artbat, Joseph Capriati, and Sven Väth. Alongside these legends, you’ll find fresh faces and underground stars pushing the scene forward.
August 21st – 24th 📍Gorski Kotar
Winner of the Audience Choice Award at the Ambassador Awards for the Best New Regional Festival, Foresterra Festival returns for its second edition – bigger and bolder. The mystical forests of Gorski Kotar will once again transform into a magical stage where music, art, nature and community come together in harmony. Just a 30-minute drive from the coast, near the mountain town of Fužine, Foresterra takes place at the unique venue. This stunning natural site becomes a sonic and visual playground for all who seek connection, creativity and conscious celebration.
Dekmantel Selectors
August 21st – 25th 📍The Garden Resort, Tisno
Selectors is Dekmantel’s smaller, more focused offshoot – held in Tisno with a strict capacity limit and zero interest in hype. Across five days, the festival leans into adventurous house, techno, electro, and leftfield sounds, with sets from longtime favorites and deep diggers alike. Daytime sets take place by the sea at The Garden, while nights shift to Barbarella’s open-air club.
Dimensions Festival
August 28th – September 1st📍The Garden Resort, Tisno
One of the last stops on the summer calendar, Dimensions closes out the festival season with five days of underground electronic music at The Garden Resort and Barbarella’s. House, techno, electro, and breaks from over 150 artists – set against the Adriatic coast.
