Winner of the Audience Choice Award at the Ambassador Awards for the Best New Regional Festival, Foresterra Festival returns for its second edition—bigger and bolder. From August 21 to 24, 2025, the mystical forests of Gorski Kotar will once again transform into a magical stage where music, art, nature and community come together in harmony.
Just a 30-minute drive from the coast, near the mountain town of Fužine, Foresterra takes place at the unique venue. This stunning natural site becomes a sonic and visual playground for all who seek connection, creativity and conscious celebration.
Two Stages, One Journey: Psytrance and Beyond
Over four days and three nights, Foresterra Festival will showcase some of the most respected names in psytrance music across two distinct stages.
The Main Stage will feature powerful full-on, forest, and dark psytrance with global headliners. One entire night is dedicated to Parvati Records, celebrating its 25th anniversary. Expect a thunderous set by label founder Giuseppe, joined by Elowinz, Kimmei, Egon’s Embrace, and Goreiju—all masters of the deeper forest and dark psy spectrum.
A second night will be curated by Forestdelic Records, returning with a stellar lineup including Kala, Anthill, Thelios, Bhangra and Fantazma—festival veterans and global performers known for their hypnotic sets.
Other international names lighting up the forest include Jhesha, Delirium Tremens, Kythera, Xabanga, In Lak Ech, and Weirdbass. From the Croatian psytrance scene, expect powerful sets from Klaada, Pila, Richma, Winpa, Zmayo, Haktal, Allan, Ishtva, Zdena, and more.
The Windmill Stage brings a different flavor—psydub, psytech, dark prog, and techno. Highlights include the American artist Kromagon, representing Australia’s iconic Zenon Records, and a special “In Dub” set from Giuseppe. Also appearing: Jungle Haze, Stereodots, Abnormu, and Solar Kid.
A new addition this year is the official Opening Ceremony on Thursday afternoon, featuring a live performance by Zagreb-based band Kosan.
Visual Art, Light and Immersion
More than a music festival, Foresterra is a visual and immersive art experience. International artists will transform the forest into a dreamlike world of decoration, video mapping, and interactive installations.
Stage design is led by Nipon Quezada from Mexico, with luminous forest decor by Italy’s Looney Moon crew. Visionary visuals and mapping come from Infante (MEX), metam:ö:rph (CRO), Lysergej (CRO) and Vectrium (CHL). Fire performances and light installations add even more enchantment to the Gorski Kotar nights.
An Encounter with Nature, Community & Self
Foresterra is a place for personal growth and reconnection. Beyond music, the festival offers yoga sessions, handpan workshops, guided hikes, slackline and highline areas, and explorations of the Vrelo Cave.
Rooted in zero-waste values, the event promotes reusable dishware, eco water bottles, recycling and composting—with every detail designed in harmony with nature and local communities.
Family-Friendly & Pet-Friendly
Foresterra welcomes all ages. Children under the age of 12 have free entry (with parents), and under-18s are welcome with parental consent. While there’s no formal kids zone, the natural surroundings offer ample space for play and adventure.
Dogs are welcome, too—but must be on leashes in festival and camping zones.
Camping in the Forest
Camping is included in the ticket price—bring your tents, campers, or trailers with no extra fees. Facilities include showers, drinking water, and toilets. Nights in the mountains can be cool, so pack accordingly.
For those seeking extra comfort, accommodations are available nearby, including Hotel Bitoraj, the exclusive Casa Madeira, and a variety of family-run lodgings.
Local Cuisine & Forest Market
The food at Foresterra celebrates local, seasonal, and sustainable ingredients, with a strong focus on collaborating with small farms and local producers. At the Forest Market, you’ll find handmade crafts, natural cosmetics, artisan clothing, and more—brought to you by traveling artists and local makers.

Foresterra Festival 2025 opens Thursday, August 21 at 3:30 PM, and ends Sunday, August 24 at 6:30 PM.
