The DJ Mag Top 100 DJs for 2024 were revealed last weekend at ADE, and it’s a mix of expected names and new rising artists. Martin Garrix once again holds the throne as the number one DJ, showing that his popularity remains strong as this is his fifth No.1 spot. David Guetta – last years top spot – a veteran in the scene, came in second, while Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike rounded out the top three.
This annual list reflects not just the most talented DJs, but the ones with the biggest fan bases, social media presence, and performance success. It is a fascinating indicator of where the industry is going, blending mainstream EDM with a growing appreciation for other subgenres.
Charlotte de Witte, a techno powerhouse, continues to climb the ranks, showing how underground genres are making their mark in the broader scene. Alongside her, other female artists like Amelie Lens are breaking new ground in an industry traditionally dominated by male DJs. Also, Peggy Gou – the South Korean DJ and producer, ranked 10th this year making her the highest ranked female DJ of 2024. Meanwhile, Indira Paganotto, a pioneer of new school psytrance, made the biggest climb of all, jumping an impressive 48 spots to land at No. 49 after an outstanding year that included a hit residency at Amnesia in Ibiza. Their rise in popularity is a sign of inclusivity and diversity in electronic music which is refreshing.
This list isn’t just about who has the most hits or streams – it is about who’s truly connecting with fans on more levels. The DJ Mag Top 100 DJ ranking is a reflection of public preferences, as it’s entirely fan-driven. Millions of votes are cast worldwide, making the rankings a real-time reflection of who’s resonating the most with the audience.
