On Saturday, April 25, 2026, the premises of AKC Medika in the heart of Zagreb will become the epicenter of drum’n’bass culture in the region. The third edition of the D’n’B United festival, the biggest gathering of the drum’n’bass community in Croatia, brings the most ambitious program so far: 80 female performers and performers from Croatia, Serbia, Slovenia, Montenegro, Italy, Estonia, Ukraine and the United Kingdom will perform simultaneously on three stages in the premises of AKC Attack, Mikro and
Surogat. From sunset on Saturday until sunrise on Sunday morning, Medika will be a temple with fast drums and deep bass.
New chapter: 42Hz collective takes over the organization
For the third edition, the organizing baton was taken over by the Zagreb collective 42Hz, a group of enthusiasts that arose spontaneously from friendship and a shared passion for drum’n’bass, bass and related genres, connected through the student club KSET. The collective consists of Bansha, Bør-T, Kocka, pilif, Spooky M and updxg, and they have already had several notable events on the Zagreb scene, including collaborations with KSET, performances at various club nights, and an active presence on Radio Student. Taking over the organization of D’n’B United is a natural step for the collective, which has been building an underground community through bass frequencies since its inception.
Vol. 3: the biggest edition yet
The third edition brings a record 80 performers, making it the biggest D’n’B United to date. But this year’s edition is not only different in numbers. The festival is moving for the first time to AKC Medika, an autonomous cultural center in a former pharmaceutical factory in the center of Zagreb. Three floors in the AKC Attack, Mikro and Surogat venues will ensure that there is a different but connected selection at any time – from classic drum’n’bass, jungle and liquid, through dub and UK garage, to more experimental bass sounds. It is precisely this genre breadth that makes D’n’B United a festival that simultaneously protects tradition and opens the door to new expressions.

From local scene to regional movement
Among the 80 names that will perform on April 25th are veterans of the scene with decades of experience, but also complete newcomers for whom this will be their first performance in front of a larger audience. It is precisely this opening of opportunities for DJs who have not had the opportunity to play at the festival before is one of the fundamental values of this gathering.
The festival has thus outgrown its local framework and started functioning as a regional platform that connects not only the Croatian, but also the wider European drum’n’bass community. It is especially worth highlighting the collaborations with collectives from Serbia and Italy, which have opened new channels of communication and exchange between scenes that share the same love for fast drums. Also, in collaboration with friends on the scene who are organizing Sound System Rendezvous Vol. 2: Hempress Sativa at Boogaloo on Friday, April 24, the organizers have created a joint ticket for both events for 30 euros, which will provide all bass culture lovers with an affordable weekend worth remembering.
Sound system culture at D’n’B United
D’n’B United would not be what it is without a commitment to sound quality. This year, ZaZoo Sound plays a special role in this segment, a sound system that will power one of the floors in the Mikro space. ZaZoo Sound, backed by Flico and After Neven as long-term players in the Croatian drum’n’bass scene, is part of the growing sound system culture in Croatia, a tradition that dates back to the early history of jungle and dub. The presence of its own sound system at the festival emphasizes D’n’B United’s connection to the original values of bass music: togetherness, the physical experience of sound, and the dancefloor as a space of freedom.
