Future Scope from Zagreb and Roots from Split are joining forces this summer to bring one of the most anticipated techno events of the year to Split! After Zagreb and Istria, it’s time for Paul Kalkbrenner to conquer Dalmatia with a performance on August 8, 2025, at the Porat club in Split.

In the world of electronic music, Paul Kalkbrenner is an institution. His career spans more than two decades, during which he has become synonymous with uncompromising, emotional, and monumental techno sound. His performances are not typical DJ sets—each of Kalkbrenner’s live acts is an audiovisual journey through his own musical vision, composed exclusively of his own tracks. Paul Kalkbrenner literally lives and performs only his own music.

He rose to global fame through the cult film Berlin Calling, in which he played the lead role of the troubled but brilliant DJ and producer Ickarus—a personification of the kind of musician Kalkbrenner never wanted to become. The film’s soundtrack gave birth to one of the most iconic electronic anthems of all time, Sky & Sand, which still holds the record for the longest-charting single in German music history.
His eight studio albums and hundreds of millions of streams affirm his status as an artist who doesn’t follow trends—he sets them. Kalkbrenner was the first techno artist to perform on the main stage of Tomorrowland, played to a crowd of 400,000 at the 25th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall, and has sold out the biggest concert venues across Europe and the world.
Joining him in Split will be some of Croatia’s top techno artists. DJ Jock, a Roots resident, founder, and one of Croatia’s most respected producers known for releases on prestigious international labels, brings raw energy to the dancefloor. Shipe, resident and organizer of the Future Scope clubbing program, is a key figure in Zagreb’s electronic scene. Also performing are Toni Juranović, a trained musician, multi-instrumentalist, and DJ, as well as Miro from Underground Control, who will open the night.
Tickets are available via the Entrio system.
