Today’s guestmix comes from DJ RSPCT, a DJ raised and based in Split. He’s been spinning for over ten years as an open-format DJ, but his love for techno only recently blossomed—in 2023—at the Resistance stage of Ultra Europe in his hometown.
His passion for bass was shaped early on, listening to his brother play bass guitar in the room and singing bass parts as a member of a choir. With over 200 gigs under his belt, his favorite shows so far have been this year’s performances at Club Porat in Split and aboard the sailing ship Sea Cloud II. Interestingly, despite his growing love for techno, he hasn’t had the chance to perform a full techno set yet—something he’s eagerly looking forward to.
Beyond Ultra, his love for techno deepened through attending parties, drawn in by the constant energy exchange between the DJ and the crowd. The first artist who truly captivated him was Boris Brejcha, especially with his track Space Diver, which, in RSPCT’s words, “blew his mind.”
