Sven Pravica, known in the music world as Discopolis, is a DJ and music producer from Zagreb, Croatia. From a young age, he developed a passion for music, growing up surrounded by parents who exposed him to various genres. His sister introduced him to electronic music while he was still in elementary school, sparking his deep connection to the genre.

For Sven, DJing is a form of self-expression, allowing him to convey his emotions through music. He is most drawn to techno and house music, where he feels he has ample space for creativity. His preferred styles include melodic techno, deep house, afro house, and tech house.

Discopolis has performed at numerous venues, including DEPO Club, Boogaloo, Podmornica, Ro&Do, Funk Club, Gallery Club, Kućica Sljeme, Steel, Bustan, F1 Showrun Belgrade, Wings for Life World Run, Old Pilot’s Meeting, and many more. He has also played at the LMF Festival in Zagreb for two consecutive years, sharing the stage with renowned artists and some of his idols, such as Adam Beyer, John Summit, Artbat, Camelphat, Argy, Dom Dolla, Matroda, Mind Against, Chris Lake, and others.
In addition to DJing, Sven is also involved in music production, with several releases already out and many more tracks ready to be launched on streaming platforms.
Listen to what Discopolis has prepared for the INSITE weekly DJ showcase on our YouTube or through our SoundCloud:
INSITE: If you could have a drink with any DJ/producer, who would it be?
DISCOPOLIS: It would definitely be Adam Beyer or Carl Cox. I’ve been a huge fan of their music from the very beginning and have followed their journeys closely. I never miss an Adam Beyer set when he plays near me, his music and energy are just on another level. As for Carl Cox, I had the chance to hear him live once, and if he had played for two days straight, I wouldn’t have left the dancefloor! His sets are just that infectious and powerful, driving the crowd like no one else can.
Track of the year?
Andrew Meller – Sinner, is absolutely my track of the year, no doubt about it. This track delivers a perfect blend of energy, hypnotic groove, and powerful progression that keeps you hooked from start to finish. It’s a proper dancefloor weapon.
