Ivan Pastuović, known by his stage name Pasta, is a DJ originally from Gradac, a small village near Drniš. He brings a rural-rooted, instinct-driven approach to electronic music.
His journey began at just 13 years old, at a local party in Poljica, where he stumbled upon the then-unknown DJ Jock. “No big stage, no name-dropping — just raw energy and that one feeling that stuck,” he explained. From that moment on, he didn’t follow artists — he followed the groove.

Now based in Zagreb, Pasta has developed a signature style rooted in rominimal, microhouse, deep tech, and acid-laced minimal techno. Since moving to the capital, he has gradually built his portfolio, performing at venues such as Jungle (Korčula), TC Ro&Do (Zagreb), and a growing number of places where the sound resonates.
Instead of focusing on big-name artists, Pasta finds inspiration in music channels, real-time moments, and how people move on the dance floor. That said, his style sometimes overlaps with artists like Christian Craken, Lukea Bryzz, and Miguel Bastida — all known for delivering tracks that are both high-energy and well-structured.
Regarding his guest mix for INSITE, he said: “It’s not for everyone. It’s for those who still listen with their legs.” Well then, if that describes you, check out his guest mix on our YouTube channel or SoundCloud:
INSITE: If you could have a drink with any DJ/producer, who would it be?
PASTA: If I had to choose, maybe DJ Jock, so we could talk about that night in Poljica.
