Domagoj Jakić, Yakka, is a Croatian award-winning DJ and producer with nearly two decades of experience in the house music scene. He holds regular residencies across Croatia, including BSH events, Hula Hula Beach Club, MYUZ collective, No Guestlist, Boiler Club and Pink Champagne.
He began DJing in the late 2000s and has since performed across Europe and the United States, including a 2022 US tour with dates in Las Vegas, Miami, Los Angeles and New York. His festival appearances include EXIT, LMF, Fresh Wave, OK! Fest, Mostar Summer Fest and Sea Dance Festival.
Yakka’s sets draw on disco, funk, and soul influences while moving between deep house, minimal, classic house and tech-house. He also produces music released on labels such as Pacha, King Street, Bonzai, Deeperfect and Cruise Music, with tracks that have charted on Traxsource and Beatport. During his journey he had opportunity to perform alongside international house music icons such as Claptone, Franky Rizardo, ARTBAT, Ferreck Dawn, Technasia, Tom Novy, Dennis Cruz, Low Steppa, Crazibiza, Flashmob, Manuel De La Mare, Weiss, Mike Vale, Paco Osuna, Angelo Ferreri, Paolo Barbato, Sharam Jey, Gramophonedzie, Juliet Sikora, Richy Ahmed, Chelina Manuhutu, Jamie Roy, Lilly Palmer, Fedde Le Grand, Chris Stussy and more has provided Yakka with invaluable experience and immense satisfaction bieng the part of global dance music history.
Domagoj also has a range of collaborations with both international and Croatian artists, such as Barbara Tucker, Blaze, Micky More & Andy Tee, Naïka, KPD, Detour, Ivana Kindl, Natali Dizdar, Krankšvester, Matija Dedić and Nipplepeople.
Alongside his releases and club work, Yakka remains engaged with the local scene, collaborating with Croatian musicians and supporting new projects. As he marks more than 15 years behind the decks, he continues to balance touring, studio work and his club residencies.
