Last Saturday we hit up the BSH event at the ‘Zagreb Pyramids’ — an open-air party at the Zagreb Fair, headlined by the legendary American DJ Honey Dijon, with support from local artists Yakka, Elena Mikac, Pablo Panda, and Pepi Jogarde.

The event started at 5 PM, and I got there around 7, just in time to catch the end of Elena Mikac’s set. This was actually my first outdoor party of the season — and for me, as well as for many others, dancing under the sun is hands down the best way to experience music. It gives a whole different vibe to the sound and the atmosphere.
From what I managed to hear, Elena was doing her thing — a classic set from her, upbeat house with a positive energy. She’s definitely a go-to artist for this type of event: always solid, knows how to connect with the crowd, and delivers a perfect warm-up that gets everyone loosened up and moving, even the early sober crew.
Next up was Pablo Panda, a resident DJ at BSH events, and one of the organizers, who pushed the tempo up a notch. Just like with Elena, the BSH crowd really vibes with Pablo. His set was super danceable, and you could feel some seriously good energy building up on the dancefloor.
As the sun started to dip, Honey Dijon stepped up to the decks as the night’s headliner. With big names like hers, I’ve learned not to go in with huge expectations, because sometimes you end up disappointed. But not this time. You could feel a real presence when she took the decks.

Honey delivered a proper old-school house set — soulful, funky, with a retro vibe. She kept the energy high and the floor moving, why I was especially grateful that it wasn’t overcrowded. There was enough room to dance and still feel that exchange of energy with the people around you.
Two standout moments for me: first, when she dropped a remix of Missy Elliott’s 2000s hit Work It — a real surprise and total crowd-pleaser. And second, the final track of her set: Somebody That I Used to Know by Gotye and Kimbra, but reworked in such a unique way that it gave the whole set a beautiful, smooth ending. She closed it out with style.
The party went on until around midnight. From about 10:45 PM till the end, local scene veteran Pepi Jogarde took over. While the energy naturally dipped a bit after Honey’s set, Pepi brought a smoother vibe and gently closed out the night. A true pro from the old school, he took over the headliner slot gracefully.
All in all, it was a genuinely great and chill party — honestly, a worthy opener for the open-air season. The lineup was solid and didn’t disappoint. As usual, BSH nailed the setup: from sound to lights, everything was on point. The organization was smooth too — no huge crowd on the dancefloor, and no long waits for drinks or the toilet. That’s something organizers — even the ones who really know their music — often forget, even though it can sometimes affect the vibe of the night more than the music itself.
