Stephanie Prekali is a Zagreb-based DJ with Istrian roots, whose eclectic style knows no boundaries. She started her musical journey playing in Italy and then DJing on sandy beaches. More than a decade has passed since then, but the moments of an unsung melody or rhythm lingering in the air are unforgettable.
After returning to Croatia, she continued to spread love for various genres, mostly between Zagreb and the Istrian coast. Over time, she perfected the fusion of gentle sea vibes and tougher urban notes into a style that never gets old.
Her performances are characterized by a blend of house, funk, and disco, but she regularly surprises with electro and acid underground elements. Recently, inspired by Italy and a nostalgia for her childhood, her newer sets often feature the sounds of Italo disco and the 90s, which she blended perfecly into her guestmix on our Soundcloud. Stephanie will join us on the INSITE launch party this Thursday, on June 13th in Peti Kupe, Zagreb, and close the night with her signature house and disco sound.
INSITE: If you could grab a drink with any DJ, producer or artist, who would it be?
Stephanie: Gabriella Vergilov. Despite her style being more intense than my usual preference, her unique energy and musical approach are captivating. I would love to discuss her creative process and gain insights from her experiences.
