After a two-year break, the techno event series MVMNT Series is preparing an event with a local lineup on Friday, January 23rd at the iconic Zagreb club Aquarius A1.
This marks a kind of pilot for the new phase of MVMNT Series, which will signify a new chapter for the series, conceived to present both local and international global stars, while also providing space for young, up-and-coming local talent.
The evening will open with Día Un, a young DJ based in Zagreb who has recently started appearing on lineups, though she has been developing her musical path for some time at the creative academy United Pop. Her sets explore hypnotic techno with dark, mystical, and subtly playful elements, emphasizing groove, dynamics, and a continuous flow.

Pres, the curator and founder of MVMNT Series, will deliver the longest set during the party’s peak time. A Croatian DJ and producer based in Amsterdam and member of the Kongres Kolektiv, he is known for releases on labels such as Kongres (“Can’t Process This” EP, “Dystopian” on a VA compilation), Bipolar Disorder, HATE, BCCO, Diffuse Reality, Duplicity, and Vault Sessions. He has recently achieved further success with his new “HYPERACTIVE” EP released on Smile Sessions, owned by Berlin-based DJ JKS. Additionally, Pres performed on January 16th at the prestigious SECTION event, bringing his distinctive energy and sound. He has also guested on Radio Rudina, an independent online radio station focused on the underground electronic scene.

The party will close with Zagreb-based producer and DJ S.L.JEME, also a member of Kongres Kolektiv who blends groovy techno, ambient textures, and a dark rave aesthetic. His work explores dark, atmospheric soundscapes, perfect for introspective listening as well as late-night dancefloors. Releases on Diffuse Reality Records and Kongres have helped his sound reach a wider audience, with support from Boiler Room, Höru, Kiosk radio, and other key platforms and venues. He has also made appearances on Radio Rudina.

MVMNT Series announces this as just the beginning, with a party season set to continue featuring increasingly interesting guests. You can find tickets for this Friday’s event at this link.
