After being acquired by DICE four years ago, Boiler Room is now under the major festival operator Superstruct Entertainment. This operator oversees 80 globally renowned festival brands, including Sziget Festival, Sónar Lisbon and Barcelona, DGTL, and Awakenings. Despite the acquisition, Boiler Room has announced that it will maintain its identity and the authenticity of its brand.
As reported by DJ Mag, Boiler Room founder Blaise Bellville said in a statement: “As we turn 15 and enter our next stage of growth, we’re excited to be partnering with Superstruct for this chapter. We feel in good company with their roster of brands. They offer us new opportunities to grow while understanding the importance of staying true to the authenticity that, at its core, is what makes Boiler Room special.“
Superstruct was founded in 2017 by Providence Equity Partners and James Barton, co-founder of the legendary Liverpool nightclub Cream and a former Live Nation executive. Last year, Superstruct was sold to investment specialists KKR and CVC for a rumored €1.3 billion.
“We are proud to welcome the talented team at Boiler Room, who have managed to consistently grow the platform over the last fifteen years while maintaining a distinct cultural approach,” said Superstruct Entertainment CEO Roderik Schlösser. “This partnership perfectly aligns with Superstruct’s mission to celebrate and amplify cultures through creativity, collaboration, and live entertainment. Boiler Room is in the best position it has ever been, and we are excited to support them in their promising future ahead.”
Boiler Room frequently hosts events in various European cities, with an event announced for nearby Belgrade on March 17.
