Familiar buzz is starting to build in Zagreb as open-air festival season is back. The city’s streets, parks, and squares are about to come alive with sights, sounds and smells. To help you keep track of what’s coming, we’ve put together a list of the open-air festivals announced so far:

September 5th – 21st, 2025 📍Bundek Lake
Until September 21, Bundek Lake hosts the Baš Naš Festival, a perfect blend of gastronomy and music. Expect delicious food, refreshing cocktails, and live performances from Indira Forza ex Colonia, KPP, Jakov Jozinović, Cro Dance Party – Senna M & ET, and ABBA x Mamma Mia tribute. Table reservations for these events are available online.
Every Sunny Friday until November 2025 📍Dolac Market
Held at Dolac Market above the city’s main square, PLACe Market has become a popular Friday hangout whenever the sun is shining. Starting at 6PM, this market brings together top Croatian chefs, local eateries, and food artisans to serve up a diverse mix of traditional and modern dishes. Beyond the food, PLACe Market offers a lively atmosphere with music and a sense of community, making it a must visit for both locals and tourists looking to experience the culinary scene in a unique setting.
Plac Mljac – Summer at Trešnjevka Market
September 18th – 21st & September 25th – 28th, 2025 📍Trešnjevka market
Plac Mljac is another foodie festival happening at Zagreb’s local markets. Over two extended weekends, the famous Trešnjevka market will come alive all day long. Visitors can enjoy tasty homemade produce, food and drinks, as well as live concerts – even late into the night.
October 10th – 19th, 2025📍Zagreb Fair
Closing out the outdoor season before the winter chill, Zagreb’s first-ever Oktobeer Fest will take place at the Zagreb Fair. Inspired by Munich’s iconic Oktoberfest, it promises 10,000 m² of tents, Europe’s largest amusement park, concerts across more than five stages, and a trade fair featuring over 120 exhibitors.

PAST FESTIVALS
May 8th – 18th 📍Dr. Franjo Tuđman Square
The 4th Pizza Festival in Zagreb is set to take place from May 8 to 18, at Dr. Franjo Tuđman Square. This event focuses on Italy’s most iconic dish through a variety of street food offerings, entertainment, and cultural experiences. The festival will feature 11 food vendors offering a diverse range of Italian inspired pizzas, pasta, desserts and drinks. Beyond the culinary delights, the festival offers a big program of workshops, quizzes, outdoor movie screenings, DJ performances and activities for children, making it also a family-friendly event.
May 15th – 24th 📍Mažuranić Square
Beats&Bites is back for its fifth edition, bringing a signature blend of music, food, and fun to one of Zagreb’s most charming green spaces – Mažuranac Park. From May 15th, the park transforms into a vibrant “disco jungle” for ten full days, visitors can enjoy top street food, cocktails, and daily performances by rising Croatian DJs. Alongside great music and atmosphere, the festival offers fun activities like beer pong, quizzes, bela tournaments, wine & paint workshops, ping pong, and more.
June 5th – 8th 📍Dr. Franjo Tuđman Park
The Zagreb Beer Fest is Croatia’s largest open-air beer + music festival, returning to Dr. Franjo Tuđman Park. The festival is free entry and offers the chance to sample over 180 beer varieties, including a strong focus on Croatian craft breweries, alongside a diverse lineup of rock, pop, and hip-hop performances. Some of the acts for 2025 include Let 3, Psihomodo Pop, My Baby, and Kuku$ . Complemented by a variety of food trucks and a lively atmosphere, the festival is a must-visit for beer enthusiasts and music lovers.
June 5th – 8th 📍City Center
One of the Zagreb’s unique street festival is once again turning the city center into a stage for performers from around the world. With music, circus acts, dance, and interactive shows. The festival stretches across the heart of the city – from Ban Jelačić Square and Zrinjevac to Cvjetni Square, Bogovićeva, and Tkalčićeva Street – with stages, workshops, and pop-up performances happening all day long. It is a good way to soak up culture, fun, and spontaneity right in the streets.

June 9th – 14th 📍British Square (Britanac)
The Food Truck Festival is rolling into town this June, serving up its signature mix of street food, great vibes and feel-good tunes. For five years, it has brought together chefs from across Croatia and the region, each offering their own take on food classics. Add to that a chill & mingle zone, cocktail bars, local craft beers, and a wine corner to round out the experience.
