Spring is in the air, jackets are getting lighter, and that familiar buzz is starting to build in Zagreb as open-air festival season is back. The city’s streets, parks, and squares are about to come alive with sights, sounds, and smells. To help you keep track of what’s coming, we’ve put together a list of the open-air festivals announced so far:
Welcome Spring Festival
April 25th to May 4th 📍near the Route 66 Club
The Welcome Spring Festival is a vibrant, eco-conscious street festival that kicks off Zagreb’s outdoor season each spring. Held from April 25th to May 4th near Route 66 Club, it offers a week-long program blending live music, dance, comedy, and sustainability-themed workshops. Visitors can enjoy performances by local bands, participate in recycling-themed games like the “Little Olympics of Waste,” and attend educational talks on topics such as climate change and green living. The festival also features an Art Bazaar showcasing local creatives, and a community May Day celebration with free food (bring your own plate!) and Soulectors in charge of the music.
Pizza Festival
May 8th – 18th 📍Dr. Franjo Tuđman Square
The 4th Pizza Festival in Zagreb is set to take place from May 8 to 18, at Dr. Franjo Tuđman Square. This open-air event celebrates Italy’s most iconic dish through a variety of street food offerings, entertainment, and cultural experiences. The festival will feature 11 food vendors offering a diverse range of Italian-inspired pizzas, pastas, desserts, and drinks. Beyond the culinary delights, the festival offers a rich program of workshops, quizzes, outdoor movie screenings, DJ performances, and activities for children, making it also a family-friendly event.
PLACe Market
Every Sunny Friday until November 📍Dolac Market
PLACe Market is a vibrant open-air street food festival that transforms Zagreb’s iconic Dolac Market into a culinary hotspot every sunny Friday evening from April through November. Starting from 6PM, this market brings together top Croatian chefs, local eateries, and food artisans to serve up a diverse mix of traditional and modern dishes. Beyond the food, PLACe Market offers a lively atmosphere with music and a sense of community, making it a must visit for both locals and tourists looking to experience the culinary scene in a unique setting.
Zagreb Beer Festival
June 5th – 8th 📍Dr. Franjo Tuđman Park
The Zagreb Beer Fest is Croatia’s largest open-air beer + music festival, returning to Dr. Franjo Tuđman Park. The festival is free entry and offers the chance to sample over 180 beer varieties, including a strong focus on Croatian craft breweries, alongside a diverse lineup of rock, pop, and hip-hop performances. Some of the acts for 2025 include Let 3, Psihomodo Pop, My Baby, and Kuku$ . Complemented by a variety of food trucks and a lively atmosphere, the festival is a must-visit for beer enthusiasts and music lovers.
Cest is d’Best
June 5th – 8th 📍City Center
Zagreb’s favorite street festival returns, turning the city center into a stage for performers from around the world. With music, circus acts, dance, and interactive shows. The festival stretches across the heart of the city – from Ban Jelačić Square and Zrinjevac to Cvjetni Square, Bogovićeva, and Tkalčićeva Street – with stages, workshops, and pop-up performances happening all day long. It is a good way to soak up culture, fun, and spontaneity right in the streets.

More festivals will be announced soon, and we will keep updating this list as they are. Stay tuned!
