Šibenik will host the SHIP Festival from September 11th to 14th, 2025. The event brings together 49 artists and 114 speakers, turning the city into a meeting point for music and industry professionals.
The idea behind SHIP is simple but ambitious. It is a showcase festival, which means the focus is on new talent and giving them visibility in front of agents, bookers, journalists, and promoters. Alongside concerts, the program includes a full music conference where more than a hundred speakers share experience and open space for collaboration. For Croatia, this format is still new, and SHIP has quickly grown into the most important platform for exporting local music abroad.

The setting is part of the appeal. St. Michael’s Fortress hosts the main open-air stage with views over the Adriatic. House of Art Arsen works as the central hub for panels and film screenings. Azimut, a small club in the old town, represents the city’s underground identity. Tunel, a network of tunnels beneath the railway, is used for late-night electronic music. By spreading across different venues, the festival turns Šibenik itself into a cultural map.

This year’s edition will host 49 artists from across Europe, joined by 114 industry speakers. Names on the conference side include representatives of Rolling Stone UK, CLASH, The Line of Best Fit, KEXP, WOMEX, Sziget Festival, Beatport, and Amsterdam Dance Event. The program mixes genres, from indie and electronic to ethno-fusion and rap, always with an emphasis on acts that are ready to take the next step internationally.
The Green Beat workshop
A new part of the program is the Green Beat workshop. It is dedicated to sustainability in the music industry, with sessions on zero-waste events, green travel, climate communication, and EU funding. The workshop will be led by Nika Brunet Milunovic from Calm Nest Collective together with the EMC team. Participation is free for EMC members and SHIP registered delegates, but space is limited and registration is required. Check it out here.
Organized by We Move Music Croatia in partnership with Fortress of Culture Šibenik, and supported by the Croatian Ministry of Culture and Media and the Croatian Tourist Board, SHIP is also part of UPBEAT, the European Showcase Platform for World Music. Or as Notion UK described it: “an all-out celebration of rising talent.”
Different ticket and registration options are available, including festival passes, professional passes, and packages with accommodation, via the Entrio platform.
