In two days, Slurp! Summer Clubbing returns to Martinska in Šibenik. This Saturday, August 9, Slurp! will bring together five legends of the local and regional scene in one place. On the same day, visitors will have the opportunity to hear Marko Nastić, Ivan Komlinović, Jan Kinčl, Mate Čeko, and Ščak.
The dance floor is located under the stars, sheltered by a pine forest, where refined techno and house sounds will echo throughout the night.
Marko Nastić, one of the pioneers of DJing in Serbia and the Balkans, has more than 25 years of a successful career behind him, making him a household name known for his legendary sets. Back in the early ’90s, Marko embraced the techno wave that was booming in his country. His career exploded with the release of his debut vinyl EP on Recycled Loops, featuring the now-legendary track “Devil in My Pants.” This success led to a series of new releases and performances at major world festivals (Tomorrowland, Sonar, EXIT, Sonus, BPM, Awakenings, Boiler Room) and clubs (The Egg, Tresor, CDV, Golden Gate, R33, Fabrik Madrid, @, Amnesia). Marko Nastić is a versatile artist who has collaborated with many creatives. Together with singer Ana Ćurčin, he formed the duet Amnasti. Their debut LP “It Took Me So Long” (PDV073) was released in 2024. He also composed original music for the Berlin Ballet Company and their performance “A Techno Ballet Odyssey.”

Ivan Komlinović is a prominent techno DJ on the Croatian and regional scene whose musical style transcends conventional genre boundaries. While most of his sets lean towards techno (Detroit techno, deep techno, acid), he often surprises audiences with new minimalist techno/house melodies, believing that chronological and stylistic boundaries are outdated. Rejecting the approach of “hours of the same sound,” Ivan emphasizes his ability for vivid improvisation during performances. With a career spanning 30 years, it’s almost impossible to summarize his path in a short bio. This Zagreb-based DJ, audio engineer, mastering engineer, and producer has earned his respected status across the region. With over 15 vinyl releases and even more digital tracks, compilations, and remixes, it’s clear that the studio is his natural environment. This year, Ivan released his first solo album “Hit The Gate” (PDV075), which has already gained cult status among dance music fans.

Jan Kinčl is currently one of the most active and productive DJs and producers in the region. His two decades of work have not only enriched but significantly advanced the Croatian techno and house scene. It’s hard to explore Croatian electronic music without coming across something connected to Jan. His debut album, created in collaboration with Regis Kattie and inspired by jazz, “In Plain Sight” (PDV030), was described as “one of the most significant works of contemporary regional dance music.” His tracks appear on labels such as BBE, Far Out, PDV Records, and Oye Black Label. With his discography, live acts, and DJ sets, Jan is one of the most compelling voices from this part of the world.

Mate Čeko is a true enthusiast of club music and the scene since he can remember. His first public performance was in 2013, and soon after, gigs started lining up. His sound knows no limits and adapts its frequencies to the dancefloor’s atmosphere. He mainly experiments with organic sounds of deep house, minimal, and techno, but also includes breakbeats and vocals. He has performed in clubs from Zagreb to Berlin and at festivals like Sonus Festival, Sonus Afterhours, Movement in Tisno, and We Love Sound.

Bruno Dvorščak, known in music circles as Ščak, has spent the last few years behind the decks in forests, islands, taverns, basements, and at various festivals and club nights in and around Šibenik. With his genre-rich collection, Ščak blends diverse rhythms and vibes into a coherent whole. He spices classic house, techno, and electro with the modern sounds of breakbeat, UK bass, and dubstep. Professionally, he’s a veterinarian, and in his free time, he enjoys hiking, astronomy, basketball, and badminton.
