Makarska, Croatia, is set to host the second edition of the Stardust Festival, the only event of its kind in the region. Following a successful first year, the organizers are bringing back both international and local artists to perform at the Makarska Observatory from August 9th to August 11th.
Friday, August 9th:
- Cristian Varela is a prominent DJ and producer renowned for his pioneering contributions to the Spanish techno scene. With a career spanning over three decades, Varela began his musical journey in the mid-80s as a classical composer and arranger before transitioning into electronic music. He gained international recognition for his dynamic DJ sets, often performing on four turntables simultaneously. Varela is the founder of the production company Phrenetic Society and the record label Pornographic Recordings.
- Petar Dundov is Croatian DJ and electronic music producer known for his unique blend of techno, trance, and progressive electronic music. His music is known for its emotional depth, complex melodies, and hypnotic progressions.

Saturday, August 10th:
- Oxia, French distinguished DJ and producer in the global techno and electronic music scene. With a career spanning over two decades, Oxia has become renowned for his dynamic and melodic techno tracks. He co-founded the record label Goodlife in the late 90s.

Sunday, August 11th:
- Marko Nastić born in Belgrade, Serbia, is one of the famous DJs and producers in Eastern Europe. He started his DJ career at a young age, mixing tracks at his uncle’s DJ shop when he was just 14 years old. By the age of 16, he became a resident DJ at a popular club in Belgrade. In 1996, he co-founded the influential project “Teenage Techno Punks” with Dejan Milićević, which played a significant role in shaping the local techno scene.
- Felver, an important figure in Croatia’s electronic music scene, has significantly shaped Zagreb’s clubbing culture over the past 25 years. Known for his deep knowledge of music and refined DJ style, Felver has been a key player in numerous influential events and projects. His recent projects include the innovative “Planet Srijeda” series, showcasing new electronic movements and artists.

In a statement, the organizers expressed their excitement about the festival’s success so far and their expectations for its growth in the coming years, saying that it is currently the only electronic music festival in Makarska.
