This weekend, from September 19th to 22nd, 2024, bar Pri Nami (Stube Ivana Zakmardija 4, Zagreb) will host the Zagreb Street Art Festival. Following last year’s success, the artist collective Grupa Zid is organizing this event, showcasing works by over 200 local and international artists.
In addition to the exhibition, the festival offers a rich program for visitors. Attendees will have the chance to watch live painting by artists such as, RNST from France, PRWND from Denmark, Aldam from Italy, Terp from Sweden, HLNKS from Serbia, and many more. Visitors can learn from these artists’ techniques, exchange stickers, and share knowledge. Every day, attendees will have an opportunity to print their own T-shirts on-site using silk screen printing, join various panels discussing street art in Zagreb and Europe, and participate in art workshops.
Krešimir Golubić, also known as LEON GSK, a member of Grupa Zid, Croatian graffiti pioneer, street art guide, and one of the festival organizers, will guide free Street Art Tours around the city center. These tours will be held daily, starting at the Main Square (Trg bana J. Jelačića 11).
(Note: that space for the tours is limited, so be sure to register by emailing sokre1973@gmail.com)
The music and dance portion of the festival will be just as lively. On Friday, DJ Madrina from Kongres Kolektiv will perform, followed by a Saturday show from Croatian hip-hop icon DJ Phat Phillie with a live performance from the Mega Blast Breakdance Crew. On Sunday, graffiti scene legend DJ Lunar will take the stage.
Entry to this exciting festival, which celebrates Zagreb’s vibrant street art culture, is free. You can find the full schedule here.
