Today was a great day for Filip Sulic, widely known as Dancelectric, who had a debut gig at the Tomorrowland stage. With a career spanning 30 years, he has shared the stage with various A-listers such as Diplo, DJ Diesel, Mark Knight, Fedde Le Grand and others, and has managed bookings at Culture Club Revelin for over a decade.
Right before his set, we had a short chat with him about his set at the world no.1 festival – Tomorrowland.
“The collaboration came about through an intermediary who drew Tomorrowland’s management’s attention to me—and to the fact that I’m celebrating my 30th anniversary as a DJ this year. After management conducted a background check and proper scouting, an email with an offer simply arrived one morning; although I had been given a heads-up, seeing my name on an official offer from Tomorrowland was still incredibly exciting”, he shared about his journey to Tomorrowland.
He stated that he had no idea what to expect as it was his first time at the festival, but along other colleagues who announced their arrival, he brough Alex G, a fellow Revelin resident, as support.
“On a personal level, this means a great deal to me; it is a highly valued form of recognition and an indescribable challenge. I want to do everything right, as I always strive to make the best possible impression so that I might be invited back”, he concluded, adding that his set would be packed with promo material.
