From Thursday, May 22nd to Sunday, May 25th, Osijek will host the globally renowned extreme sports festival – the Pannonian Challenge – for the 26th time. This BMX, skate, and inline competition is paired with a diverse urban culture program, and this year will feature performances by DJ Rea, Antonio Zuza, Phrasal, and other local DJs from Zagreb and Osijek.
Each year, thousands of extreme sports and entertainment enthusiasts flock to Osijek to witness the incredible tricks performed by top athletes from across Europe and the world. This year’s festival promises another packed schedule, taking place in the skate park near Osijek’s famous Copacabana beach on the banks of the Drava River.
In addition to the impressive lineup of BMX, skate, and inline competitions running from morning until evening, the festival will also spotlight artists from the hip-hop scene. On Saturday (day two of the festival), from noon to 4 PM, the Original Skills Jam will feature a graffiti competition by street artists and a breakdance battle (B-BOYING) with categories for both adults and children, accompanied by DJs and MC.
Alongside the hip-hop scene, the music program curated by renowned Osijek DJ INSOLATE will showcase prominent Croatian DJs from Zagreb and Osijek. The music starts at 8 PM and continues until midnight each night. On day one, DJ Rea from Zagreb and Aux from Osijek will perform. Friday’s lineup features Antonio Zuza, a resident of Zagreb’s Peti Kupe club, and Karlita from Osijek. On Saturday, Doxia and Phrasal will take the stage.
The festival will also include a photography exhibition. And best of all – entry is free for all visitors throughout the entire event.
