On Friday, July 4, the courtyard of AKC Attack (Medika) will host Pomozimo mami – a benefit party with a purpose. From 9pm to 4am, the gathering is a call to solidarity from within Zagreb’s electronic music community, raising funds to support the mother of Sandro Bešlić, a familiar face on the scenes dance floors and a member of the Video House System collective.
Sandro’s mom has been diagnosed with a severe form of ALS, a progressive and debilitating neurological disease. There’s only one mom, and Sandro is doing everything he can to provide her with the best possible medical care – which, in cases like this, comes at a high cost.
In response, friends, DJs, and supporters have come together to offer what they can – time, music, and support. The night features a large lineup of local artists including Szch, Nebuloz, Vlado Kaponja, Carnero, Slip, Labud, Pytzek, Korak, Mimi, Dujo, Eloc, Space Cowboy, and the Green Light Collective.
Entry is donation-based – give what you can, no pressure. Those unable to attend can still contribute via donation (GOFUNDME link here!!!) or by simply spreading the word.
It’s a reminder that beyond the music, this scene moves together and when needed, steps up.
