DJ Mag has published its list of the Top 100 Festivals in the World, voted on by thousands of electronic music fans across the globe. The list offers a snapshot of where the scene is thriving, both in scale and spirit – and this year’s results confirm two things: Tomorrowland is still on top, and Croatia’s festival scene is stronger than ever.
Tomorrowland Still Leads the Way
No surprises at the top. Tomorrowland, held each summer in Boom, Belgium, has once again been named the best festival in the world. It’s the fifth year in a row the festival has claimed the number one spot, and for good reason.
With its massive stage production, stacked lineups, and an atmosphere that feels closer to a dream world than a festival site, Tomorrowland has become more than just a party – it’s a global brand. Every July, it welcomes around 400,000 people from all across the globe over two weekends, making it one of the most international events of its kind.
The festival’s influence stretches far beyond Belgium. Between its winter edition in the Alps, global livestreams, and spin-off events around the world, Tomorrowland has managed to keep its community active all year round. But at the heart of it is still the original festival and it’s clear fans continue to see it as the gold standard.

Croatia – 8 Festivals in the Global Top 100
While Tomorrowland’s place at the top was expected, one of the more eye-catching takeaways from the 2025 rankings is Croatia’s strong presence. Croatia landed eight festivals on this year’s Top 100 – a significant achievement for a country of its size, and a sign of just how central it has become to Europe’s summer festival circuit.
#31 – Ultra Europe (Split)

#37 – Sonus Festival (Novalja, Pag Island)

#45 – Dimensions Festival (Tisno)

#47 – Hideout Festival (Novalja, Pag Island)

#63 – Sea Star Festival (Umag)

#74 – Defected Croatia (Tisno)

#87 – Love International (Tisno)

#93 – Outlook Origins (Tisno)

While DJ Mag’s Top 100 Festivals is ultimately a popularity contest – driven by public votes – it still reflects broader trends in the industry. Tomorrowland’s staying power shows that fans continue to value large-scale spectacle. At the same time, the rise of destinations like Tisno indicates a growing appreciation for well-organized, midsize festivals with character.
